Google this week said it would for the first time support VMware workloads in its own Cloud service, providing customers more choices for deploying business applications.
The hybrid service named Google Cloud VMware Option by CloudSimple will use VMware software-defined data centre (SDCC) technologies such as VMware vSphere, NSX and vSAN applications deployed on a stage handled by CloudSimple for GCP.
“Users may have complete, native access to the complete VMware stack such as vCenter, vSAN and NSX-T. Google Cloud will offer the first line of service, working closely together with CloudSimple to ensure clients get a compact product service experience and their business-critical programs are encouraged with all the SLAs that business customers desire,” Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud composed in a website outlining the bargain .
“Using VMware on Google Cloud Platform, clients will have the ability to leverage each the familiarity of VMware tools and coaching, and protect their investments, since they implement on their own cloud plans and quickly bring new solutions to market and run them effortlessly and much more rigorously across a hybrid environment,” said Sanjay Poonen, chief operating officer, client operations in VMware at an announcement .
